What to Expect During Invisalign Treatment

The first step in the Invisalign process is a consultation, during which your dentist will take photos of your teeth and mouth. Dentists will use these photos to decide whether Invisalign is the right treatment. If your dentist decides that this is the best option, they will submit these photos to a lab, which will create bespoke trays.

These trays will be verified during your follow-up session to ensure they are properly aligned. Treatment programs will differ; however, you may be given extra trays to replace every two weeks. Every few months, you’ll have routine appointments with your dentist at Lake Travis Family & Cosmetic Dentistry to monitor and ensure that the alignments are still holding up.

You should wear your Invisalign aligners for 20-22 hours per day for the best results. Please take them out when you’re eating, drinking, or need to brush your teeth. If you follow these methods, you’ll have the straight teeth you’ve always desired in no time! If you have any problems between these sessions, please call our staff or set up a consultation with us to talk about it.
